Special (Off-snow) Events season begins

It’s begun.

Patrollers from across the Calgary Zone saddled up (on bikes) to provide first aid support at the first event of the 2015 Special (Off-snow) Events season: the St. Patrick’s Day Road Race. Thanks to Jenny Thorpe, Stuart Preston, Terry Abrams, Pam Nadon & Rick Schott for braving the (somewhat) chilly temps.

Special (Off-snow) Events crew at the St. Patrick’s Day Road Race

Our season stretches from early spring to late fall, and includes running events, an airshow and assorted other venues. Special Events are available to all patrollers, regardless of what hill you patrol at. It’s a great chance to keep your skills sharp and meet patrollers from other areas.

Help out and a proportionate amount of the donation goes to your home patrol!

We’re still finalizing the schedule; check www.cspcalgary.ca/special-events/ in a week or two to see what events fit your schedule. Sign up online on the Calgary Zone roster. If you have any questions, please send me a note at [email protected]
